1. Assembly for the students. (morning)
Cyberbullying involves the use of information and communication technologies to support deliberate, repeated, and hostile behavior by an individual or group, with the intention of harming others. Dr. Sabella will help kids to enhance their resiliency, understand how to minimize their risks, and to reach out to others as witnesses and bystanders.
2. Training for teachers. (After school)
Join Dr. Russ Sabella to better understand what a comprehensive bullying and cyberbullying program looks like. LOTS of handouts and resources. Specifically, Russ will address training students, responding to incidents, developing peer helper programs, developing policies, referring to counseling, and much more.
3. Assembly for parents/public (Evening)
Dr. Russ Sabella, Professor of Counseling at Florida Gulf Coast University, will help parents to (a) Make more informed decisions about how technology is used in their families; (b) start important conversations about technology; (c) Better monitor and supervise their childrens’ online activities; and (d) understand how to implement safety and security tools in their homes and devices.
